Sharpness rarely lasts long in Velvet Pure Perfume, galbanum and fig leaf cutting in green and immediate before jasmine and labdanum soften that same opening into real warmth. Narcissus, yellow narcissus, Tunisian neroli, and geranium extend that tension through the middle, floral and herbal in unusually careful balance throughout the entire wear. Haitian vetiver and orris root ground the dry down in smooth, earthy depth, giving the fragrance genuine staying power through an entire long evening. This green floral Eau De Parfum suits daytime wear and quiet elegance especially well, understated rather than showy about its own considerable botanical complexity. Dolce and Gabbana let that opening tension resolve slowly, sharp and green at first, surprisingly soft and earthy by the very end of the wear.
