Giorgio Valenti begins with apple, freesia, and tangerine, a bright fruity rush that feels immediately playful rather than the dark, brooding scent its title might suggest. Peach, jasmine, rose, and lily of the valley soften that fruit considerably through the middle hours, romantic and floral without ever losing real energy. Rose Noire Absolue Perfume earns its name only much later, once sandalwood, musk, and oak moss darken the dry down noticeably beyond anything the opening promised. Daytime elegance and evening plans both suit this fruity floral Eau De Parfum well, versatile in a way many perfumes rarely manage across an entire day. The whole point is that contrast, bright and playful at first, considerably darker and moodier by the time the fragrance finishes settling on skin.
