This Elixir edition of Armani Code Cologne reverses the original formula entirely, Tonka Bean opening the composition warm and immediately sweet rather than fresh. Leather and Liquor carry the heart into darker, more intense territory, smoky and unexpected as the composition develops further. Green Mandarin closes the finish on a surprising citrus note, brightening what would otherwise be an entirely somber conclusion. Giorgio Armani built this woody oriental fragrance for evening events and formal occasions especially well, richer and notably more intense than the original Eau de Parfum. Few flanker fragrances commit this fully to inverting their own source material through an entire long, formal evening and every occasion demanding real presence however late the evening runs, intense from the very first spray onward.
