Musk Mood Perfume does not even try to impress with an elaborate note list, opting instead for a straightforward citrus and fruit top that moves quickly into white musk, floral notes and vanilla through the middle. This Lattafa eau de parfum repeats white musk in its base alongside sandalwood, doubling down on the soft, skin close character established earlier rather than introducing anything new. What Musk Mood Eau de Parfum lacks in complexity it makes up for in wearability, the kind of fragrance that sits close to the body rather than filling a room, appropriate for offices, close quarters and anyone sensitive to stronger perfumes. It suits year round wear reasonably well, though its citrus opening gives it a slight edge during warmer months. Musk Mood will not satisfy anyone hunting for a complicated, evolving fragrance experience, but as a clean, fresh, dependable everyday musk it does exactly what its name suggests.
