Coach clearly avoided the usual cliches with Dreams Perfume, pear, fruits, and bitter orange arriving bright and immediately fruity in a hopeful, considered opening rather than anything predictable. Gardenia and cactus flower carry that hope through the entire middle, unexpectedly desert inspired rather than the typical florals attempted almost everywhere else nearby. Ambroxan and woody notes ground the entire dry down in smooth, warm depth that lingers gently on skin for many long hours afterward. Daytime wear and casual daily elegance both suit this fruity floral Eau de Parfum equally well, hopeful rather than heavy about its own considerable charm throughout. The wistful ambition built into the name comes through quite clearly rather than staying purely decorative, hollow, or empty.
