A single note carries the entire opening of Gold Edition Oud Perfume, rose alone arriving delicate and immediately floral, an understated start for a fragrance carrying such a rich, opulent name. Agarwood oud, patchouli, cedar, and sandalwood take that delicacy into dense, resinous middle territory that gives the composition real weight and presence. Incense and saffron ground the dry down in warm, spiced depth that lasts for many hours once the florals above have properly faded. Evening wear and formal occasions both suit this woody oriental Eau De Parfum especially well, opulent rather than understated about its own considerable presence. Pascal Morabito built this floral at first and unmistakably resinous by the very finish, earning its own opulent name gradually rather than all at once.
