Nine notes crowd the base alone in Joop! Femme Perfume, an unusually generous ratio that says a great deal about the house’s ambitions here. Lemon, bergamot, fruity notes, coriander, and aldehydes open things bright and sparkling, immediately distinctive against simpler citrus colognes. Rose, lily of the valley, jasmine, and orange blossom shape a lush floral heart with real romantic depth. Sandalwood, tonka bean, cedar, amber, patchouli, musk, civet, oakmoss, and vanilla close the base in extraordinary richness that lasts for hours after application. This floral aldehyde Eau De Toilette suits evening wear and formal occasions especially well, rewarding anyone willing to sit with its considerable complexity. Joop! rarely does anything halfway, and Femme proves that instinct fully across every single one of its many notes.
