Cuba strips fragrance down to its own darkest essentials with Red Cologne, exotic woods and oakmoss opening the composition earthy and immediately smoky rather than bright or citrus forward. Raw tobacco alone carries the entire middle, unfiltered and unapologetic, the kind of note most mainstream colognes only hint at rather than commit to fully. Masculine spices ground the entire dry down, warm and slightly peppery, extending that tobacco intensity rather than softening it with anything sweeter at all. Evening wear and cooler months both suit this woody spicy Eau De Toilette especially well, distinctive rather than safe about its own considerable identity.
