Do not expect Scandal Perfume to stay in the background, because Jean Paul Gaultier never constructed it that way. Blood orange and mandarin orange rush in first, bright and immediate, before honey, gardenia, jasmine, orange blossom, and peach turn things lush and unapologetically sweet. Wear it and patchouli, beeswax, caramel, and licorice will follow you into the room hours later, a dense gourmand amber base that outlasts most florals on the shelf. Save it for evenings, for occasions composed around being noticed rather than blending in. This oriental gourmand Eau de Parfum exists to start conversations, and the dry down alone justifies the name long after the initial spray has faded into something warmer and considerably harder to ignore entirely.
