Violet, orange, and bergamot open things bright and immediately floral citrus in The Only One Perfume, a fresh start that gives little hint of the darker richness waiting further in. Coffee, pear, iris, orange blossom, and rose take that brightness into unusually layered middle territory, the coffee note especially setting this apart from typical florals nearby. Caramel, vanilla, and patchouli settle the dry down into dense, warm sweetness that lasts for many hours once the coffee above has fully faded. Romantic evenings suit this floral gourmand Eau de Toilette especially well, warm rather than restrained about its own considerable depth. Dolce and Gabbana built something genuinely intimate here, entirely worthy of a name that leaves little real room for interpretation.
