Demeter clearly wanted an actual storm rather than a bottle with Wet Garden Perfume, fresh rain accord and green leaves arriving crisp and immediately damp from the very first spray. Lily of the valley, violet, and water flowers carry that dampness through the middle, soft and romantic without the composition ever feeling heavy or overdone. Earth and soft moss ground the dry down in warm, damp depth that lingers gently on skin for many hours after the rain above has settled. Daily wear and rainy afternoons both suit this green floral cologne especially well, evocative rather than abstract about its own weather driven concept. Few colognes commit this fully to smelling like an actual garden after a long, real rainstorm.
